Choo Choo Hemp is like the sidekick to Edibles Land, located right above it on the second floor of the same building. And when we say the same building, we mean it’s right across from Samitivej Sukhumvit Hospital—you know, just in case you decide to go overboard with those edibles downstairs (kidding…sort of). The shop is an easy 3-minute bike ride or a 15-minute walk from Thong Lor BTS, so really, no excuses.

Location & Atmosphere:

Let’s talk layout. Choo Choo Hemp is spread across two of the building’s three floors, with the first floor occupied by Edibles Land (review here). The second floor is where the magic happens, aka the dispensary. There’s a small, but neat seating area that overlooks Edibles Land, which is perfect for spying on those brave souls about to down a 700mg+ “Suicide” edible.

But wait, there’s more! Head up to the third floor and you’ll find their lounge, which is giving off Amsterdam coffee shop vibes—minus the canals and overpriced bikes. There’s plenty of seating, so don’t worry if your entire crew shows up. They’ve also got an iPad hooked to the speakers, which means you control the tunes. Bonus points for the playing cards and Jenga, in case your high self decides that stacking blocks is a good idea. Oh, and don’t sweat it if you forgot your rolling tobacco—they’ve got you covered with free Kilner jars filled with the stuff. Trust us, that’s a lifesaver because finding rolling tobacco in some parts of Thailand is like trying to find a unicorn.

Product Selection:

Now, onto the good stuff: the flower. If you’re on a budget (and let’s be real, who isn’t after a few nights in Bangkok?), this is the best spot we found. All the flower is displayed customer-side, so you can crack open the big Kilner jars and take a whiff. But here’s the deal—this place caters to budget smokers. About 80% of the flower is geared more toward the everyday toker, not the connoisseur smoker. It’s not always the freshest, so if you’re not in the mood to play “Find the Fresh Nug”, ask the budtender for the latest drops.

We did find a sweet deal on THC Snow Balls. THC isolate-covered buds—usually sell for anywhere between 600฿ and 1,500฿ per gram in other dispensaries. But here? Just 250฿ per gram.

Hash Heaven:

Hash lovers, rejoice! This place has the biggest selection of hash we came across in Thailand, from old-school brick hash to the newer, more refined water hash. If hash is your thing, then Choo Choo Hemp is your Mecca.

Service & Pricing:

One thing we loved about Choo Choo Hemp was how transparent they were—literally. They weigh your weed right in front of you, and while that might not be necessary, it’s a nice little touch that shows they’re not messing around with your grams. Prices lean toward the budget-friendly side, especially compared to other spots in Bangkok,

staff members are very mixed in their English fluency. But worry not, you’ll still be well looked after regardless.

Oh, and if your bong is looking a bit nasty after one too many hits, they offer a cleaning service for 50-100฿. It’s a small price to pay for crystal-clear hits.

Drinks:

While you’re getting high on the second floor, you’ll have to go downstairs to Edibles Land for drinks, where they have a selection of hot and cold drinks that can be infused.
